The School of Mathematics and Statistics is delighted to announce the following staff promotions, effective 1 July 2019:
Promotion to Senior Lecturer
Dr Jakub Stoklosa
Dr Stoklosa is a member of the Evolution & Ecology Research Centre and the Eco-Stats group within the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
His research interests include analysis of capture-recapture data, estimation of animal abundance, measurement error modelling, model selection for multivariate data, and non-parametric smoothing.
Dr Dmitriy Zanin
Dr Zanin is a member of the Functional and Harmonic Analysis Group and his research focuses on Non-commutative geometry, Non-commutative probability theory, Non-commutative Harmonic Analysis and applications of all this to Mathematical Physics.
Of the promotions, Head of School Bruce Henry said "This is a very pleasing recognition of [Jakub and Dmitriy's] excellent achievements in research, teaching and engagement".
