On Tuesday we held our sixth annual Postgraduate Conference at UNSW. The full day event in Colombo Theatres exhibited the diverse and innovative research our students are currently working on.

The program featured 34 presentations, which included six lengthier plenary talks.

The conference drew over 80 attendees across the day, including supervisors, members of staff, undergraduate students, and students from other universities.

The event culminated in a prize-giving for the best talks. Presentations were assessed by a panel of judges in the categories of Applied Mathematics, Pure Mathematics and Statistics.

Winners were Michael Denes (Applied), Kam Hung Yau (Pure) and Yi-Lung Chen (Statistics).

Conference attendees then converged on the White House for a lively after-party.
