Last week the School of Mathematics and Statistics hosted the seventh annual Number Theory Down Under conference.

The conference aimed to foster links between Australian and international number theorists to share ideas, pursue collaborative work and establish connections to other fields of mathematics.

54 participants joined us from India, China, England, Japan, France, USA and Korea, along with several attendees from universities across Australia.

The program comprised four full days of presentations, including lengthier talks by invited speakers Dzmitry Badziahin (USyd), Antal Balog (Alfred Renyi Institute of Mathematics) and Olivier Ramare (Univ. Aix-Marseille).

The conference was organised and hosted by our Number Theory Group, in particular Alina Ostafe, John Roberts, Igor Shparlinski and Lee Zhao.
