The UNSW Engineering Pathway program will be available for VIT students studying computer, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering. Students will complete the first two years of their degree at VIT and can apply for up to two years’ credit towards completing their qualification at UNSW.

Amit Dasgupta, UNSW’s Strategic Advisor India Engagement and former Indian diplomat, based in NewDelhi, says the agreement demonstrates UNSW’s commitment to building meaningful partnerships with top educational institutions in India.

“By partnering with India’s leading educational institutions such as VIT, UNSW can collaborate in converting India’s young demographic into a dividend.”

UNSW will also fund two scholarships worth A$5000 to select VIT students studying under the new pathways program at UNSW. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic performance.
