Early Career Researcher of the Month: Dr Nayuta Yoshioka (or Yoshi) is an Education Focused Lecturer. His current research interest is image analysis technology and improving teaching practice. His current research is on the application of imaging technology and augmented reality (AR) to quantify and visualise hand-cleanliness in order to improve hand hygiene training and compliance.
Dr Yoshi is dedicated to improving the educational experience of students and received the “Dean’s Award for Education Excellence” from the Faculty of Science, UNSW in 2020. To further build on his educational portfolio, he is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in University Learning and Teaching as well as an Education Focused Fellowship at UNSW. He is looking forward to using this as a basis for driving further research and connecting with other educators and researchers in the field.
