Professor Martin Van Kranendonk (pictured below) lead the semi-annual ACA Grand Tour fieldtrip from the 1st to the 7th of August 2022. After a busy week exploring Shark Bay’s stromatolites and the 3.4 billion year old fossiliferous units of the Pilbara Craton, Martin co-led another fieldtrip with Luke Steller, ACA PhD Student; the Big Questions Expeditions in the Pilbara from the 9th to the 12th of August 2022.
Are you an astrobiologist or geobiologist that would like to experience the rare opportunity of visiting protected sites which hold the oldest evidence for life on land? The Big Questions Expeditions trip will be returning to the Pilbara in August 2024.
