Do you have passion for cars, power and propulsion systems? Then this research project is for your PhD study. What would you say at the UNSW Engine Research Laboratory, we have prototype engines with full optical access, which can show the fuel-air mixture formation and surrounding flow/turbulence? How about you become part of our offer of solutions for automakers, mining companies and logistics companies who require decarbonised power and propulsion systems?.

We are looking for PhD students who will perform optical diagnostic research of engines running with renewable, carbon neutral fuels. Not only world-leading research equipment and facilities but also direct industry engagement are in place for you. Upon the completion of PhD study, you will become a world leading researcher in engines with ample lots of engineering skill sets and extensive research networks – these are critical for you to grow as a leading research engineer or engineering consultant. How do I know? I have supervised 17 PhD/MPhil graduates who are demonstrating their capabilities earned from us.
