Generative AI technologies are transforming creative practice and changing how the creative industries work. This project takes a multidisciplinary approach combining technology, design, creative practice and social science research methods to examine how this transformation is impacting professional and amateur creative work, speculatively exploring new design possibilities through prototyping open source tools and engaging creative practitioners through participatory design. Projects could explore attitudes, such as towards Generative AI and copyright, creative practice methods, new creative tools or interface designs, and more.

Computer scientists, artists, designers and social scientists are invited to apply to be part of a multidisciplinary PhD supervisory team of their own making.
