Dr Ajith Jayasekare is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the City Future Research Centre (Value Australia Project). He did his PhD at the University of Wollongong in the field of urban analytics. Prior to his PhD, Ajith served as a GIS and remote sensing analyst at the International Water Management Institute (Sri Lanka). Ajith received a Master of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics from Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences and did a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
He is skilled in a range of analytics sub-domains, including remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems, simulation modelling and data visualisation, machine learning and hedonic price modelling, etc. His research interests focus on Spatial modelling and machine learning applications in image analysis and predictive modelling.
