Amir is an education focussed lecturer at the UNSW Optometry Clinic, supervising students in their final undergraduate years since 2017. A Bachelor of Optometry graduate from UNSW, he has practiced in both private and corporate settings, as well as in rural areas of Australia and in the UK. He has earned a Master of Optometry and a Postgraduate Certificate in Ocular Therapeutics from UNSW. After his teaching fellowship, he began teaching courses on posterior ocular therapeutics. His areas of interest are Advanced Eye Diseases and Dry Eye Disease. He also serves at the Diabetic Centre of Prince of Wales Hospital.
