Ms Anjana Devanand

Anjana is a hydrologist by training and is interested in how land surface processes interact with other components of the Earth system. Her PhD focussed on the influence of natural and human modified land processes on the Indian Summer Monsoon. During the end of her PhD, she worked as a research intern at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory studying the impact of land use land cover change on the regional climate of the Midwest United States. After her PhD, Anjana worked as post-doctoral researcher at the University of Adelaide on statistical tools to assess climate risks on water resources systems. At the Centre of Excellence for Climate Extremes she is part of the drought project focussing on improved regional simulations of droughts.
