Armita has extensive experience in public health and health services research. During her PhD studies, Armita undertook a series of studies to assess and inform enhancement of capacity for evidence-based policy and practice in Australia (PhD completed in 2009). Armita collaborated with the Canadian Institute of Health Research and the Ottawa Health Research Institute to conduct international studies which aimed to explore the role of researchers and health research funding organisations in knowledge translation. Armita's research projects mostly address improving health services for priority populations. Armita also has extensive teaching experience at the Faculty of Medicine & Health.
