Dipankar is currently working as a Research Associate (i.e., Postdoctoral Fellow) at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). He completed his Ph.D. from The University of Sydney in 2023. Before joining as a Ph.D. student, he served BRAC University, Bangladesh, as a Lecturer and worked as a Research Assistant in the Data & Design Lab, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has a vast interest in Software Security, IoT Service Mining, and Service Recommendations using statistics, machine learning, and deep learning techniques. Outside of profession, education, and research, Dipankar is very passionate about sports, especially an avid fan of cricket.

Awarded Postgraduate Research Support Scheme (PRSS) travel grants (worth: 3000 USD approximately) from the University of Sydney for presenting papers at reputed conferences (i.e., ICWS, SCC, ICSOC, UbiComp) in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Received the 3rd best PhD thesis award from IEEE Sensors NSW Chapter. 

Awarded "Postgraduate Research Completion Scholarship in Internet of Things Service Management" for completing the Ph.D. study at the University of Sydney, Australia.

Received the best paper award at the IEEE Service Computing Conference (IEEE SCC) in 2020.

Awarded `"Postgraduate Research Scholarship in Internet of Things Service Management" with a full tuition waiver for Ph.D. study at the University of Sydney, Australia.

Dipankar's research activities span a wide array of subjects within the domain of computer science, emphasizing the intersection of Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes, machine learning, and data analytics. His work demonstrates a strong focus on enhancing smart home technologies through innovative frameworks for conflict detection, resolution, and occupancy estimation, as evident in his contributions to prestigious conferences and journals such as ACM Transactions on Internet Computing and ACM Computing Surveys. Recently, Dipankar has ventured into the software security domain, focusing his efforts on IoT vulnerability analysis using the power of Large Language Models (LLMs). This new direction highlights his dedication to conducting hands-on research that addresses real-world challenges, aiming to develop more secure and resilient IoT systems. Through a prolific publication record and his ongoing work in software security, he continues to establish himself as a notable figure in applied IoT research, focusing on practical solutions to enhance the functionality and user experience of smart environments and ensure their security against emerging threats. His papers have been published in top-tier conferences and journals such as IEEE ICWS, ICSOC, ACM TOIT, UbiComp, and IEEE SCC. He has been awarded the best paper award in 2020 IEEE SCC.
