I am currently pursuing an Honours in Actuarial Studies, with my thesis focused on sustainable aged care financing in Australia. Besides my thesis research, I am also a casual academic with the UNSW Business School and a Research Assistant for the ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR).
I have keen interest in applying actuarial techniques and foundation to the ageing population issue. My thesis sits between policy and academia and aims to predict the future burden of aged care on the government and individuals. As proposed by the Royal Commission, my thesis will also explore the pricing of an Aged Care Levy.
Over the past summer, I have also aided research in an actuarial analysis of the Australian Government's Pension Loan Scheme.
