Dr Farzaneh Zolala
BSc, MSc, MPhil, PhD
Dr Zolala is an epidemiologist with more than 20 years’ experience providing a range of clinical health services, academic research and education and training. She previously worked at the Poche Centre at the University of Queensland and at the Kerman University of Medical Sciences in Iran where she held posts of Associate Professor and Director of the Social Determinants of Health Research Centre.
Dr Zolala has expertise working with vulnerable populations, including people who inject drugs and female sex workers, and a strong interest in the complex interplay between social factors and health outcomes in key populations. She is responsible for co-ordinating national surveillance with people who inject drugs and related projects.
