Professor Grainne Moran
As Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research Infrastructure) I am responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of UNSW's research infrastructure, including the centrally managed shared research facilities. For more details see the Office of the PVCRI webpage.
I was previously Executive Director of the Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre from its inception in 2006. MWAC manages major shared experimental research facilities across UNSW, providing advanced instrumentation, research support, training and collaboration for researchers.
My research background is in analytical chemistry and applied spectroscopy. Areas of interest include analytical methods in nanotechnology; surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy for analytical applications and the spectroscopic characterisation of nanomaterials.
