Dr. Hassan Saeed Khan is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Built Environment, UNSW-Australia. He is an Architectural Engineer by profession and possesses a Bachelor of Science in Building and Architectural Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan (2003-2008). His Master of Science in Architectural Engineering (specialization in construction engineering) is from Politecnico di Milano, Italy (2010-2012). He obtained Ph.D. in urban climatology and energy engineering from UNSW, Australia (2018-2022). He has more than ten years of professional experience in Australia, Saudi Arabia, Italy, and Pakistan, in a variety of roles, including Postdoctoral Research Fellow (UNSW, Sydney), Lecturer (KFUPM-Saudi Arabia), Site & Design Architectural Engineer (Jabel Omer development Project, Saudi Arabia), Planning & Coordination Engineer (Earthquake rehabilitation program, Bagh Azad Kashmir, Pakistan), and Architectural Engineer (Lahore, Pakistan). His research interests are in zero-energy buildings, energy-efficient measures (EEMs), renewable energy technologies (RETs), buildings energy management, building thermal performance evaluation, micro/mesoscale climatic impact assessment, urban overheating, and extreme heat events assessment, heat mitigation and adaptation technologies, and climate-responsive design.
