My Background:
Dr Howard Yim completed his PhD in the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. In his PhD study, he identified several viral and host proteins that contribute to the pathogenesis of infectious diseases, including AIDS and tuberculosis. He then continued his research in the pathogenesis of inflammatory disorders including inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) when he worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research, Monash University, Australia.
