Jenny Robinson has had a long and rewarding career as a secondary school music teacher and Head Teacher in several Department of Education schools across New South Wales, Australia. Since 2011, she has also lectured to pre-service secondary school Music teachers in Music Method at the University of NSW (UNSW). Jenny's recently completed PhD explored the 'factors influencing the working lives of Australian secondary school music teachers'. In 2023 Jenny was appointed as .5 lecturer, working as a Curriculum and Pedagogy Coordinator for the School of Education, UNSW. Jenny is passionate about music education and sustaining secondary teachers throughout their careers.

Jenny is past Chair and Secretary, and an on-going committee member of the NSW chapter of the Australian Society for Music Education (ASME) which promotes advocacy and professional development for music teachers.
