Dr. Gong is a Senior Research Fellow at the Microbiome Research Centre, St George Hospital and St George & Sutherland Clinical School, UNSW, investigating the role of gut microbiome in gastrointestinal diseases, especially the immuno-pathogenesis of obesity-related liver diseases such as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, and liver cancer.
