Dr Lucy Coupland

Dr Coupland has a background of 15 years conducting clinical trials in public hospitals and 15 years conducting pre-clinical laboratory-based research with the main focus of her research including platelet biology and pathology, mechanisms of carcinoma and sarcoma metastasis, novel uses of viscoelastic testing, and the development of novel histone inhibitors and homeostatic agents.

In her latest role as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist in the Intensive Care Unit at Liverpool Hospital, Dr Coupland is collaborating with intensivists and trauma surgeons to identify and treat coagulopathies in the critically ill using new technologies.
