She holds a PhD in Translation Studies and a Master by Research in Linguistics/Audiovisual Translation from UNSW, and is a NAATI-certified translator, an audiovisual translator, and a member of AUSIT and EST.

Her research interests include experimental and mixed methods research, audiovisual translation, language and cognitive processing, and eye-tracking studies.
