Shamim Aryampa

Shamim has a broad ranging expertise and experience, spanning from land use and management, environmental monitoring, waste management and sustainability. She has a PhD with a research focus in Ecological Sustainability Assessment, MSc in Soil Science and BSc in Agricultural Land Use and Management. Her interest is sustainability assessment, specifically in the development of methodologies for the comprehensive and effective assessment of sustainability as well as automation of sustainability assessments. So far she has developed the EcoSwaD model for assessing the Ecological Sustainability of Waste Disposal Sites (ecoswad.org). Shamim is also interested in further exploring the linkages between agriculture and sustainability, particularly, natural resource and land usage and its impact on sustainability through research.
