Ratih is a PhD Candidate at the School of Psychology, UNSW Sydney. She is also a Casual Academic at the School of Population Health and Study Skills Mentor at the Equitable Learning Services. Ratih pursued her Bachelor of Psychology and Master of Clinical Psychology from the University of Indonesia. Before commencing her PhD study, she has been working as a clinical psychologist and lecturer in her home country. She is actively conveying ideas related to promotion, prevention, and treatment of mental health problems in various discussion forums, news media, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and giving talks on the community programs in Australia, Indonesia, and overseas. Her primary research interest includes resilience, positive mental health, mindfulness, mental health equity, and culturally responsive treatment using digital technology, particularly for culturally diverse and under-represented groups in Low and Middle-income countries (LMICs). She's now obtaining her PhD with fully funded scholarship by The Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP).

Research interests:
- Psychological resilience across the lifespan (i.e., adolescence to late adulthood), especially among vulnerable population, and its association with mindfulness, mental health, and other positive psychology constructs, such as gratitude, self-compassion, emotional intelligence, and well-being.
- Designing and evaluating cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and strength-based intervention programs delivered by digital technology, particularly for culturally-diverse and under-represented groups in Low and Middle-income countries (LMICs).
Current PhD research is within the field of digital mental health services under the supervision of Prof. Jill Newby (Black Dog Institute & School of Psychology), Prof. Michelle Moulds (School of Psychology), and Dr. Alison Mahoney (Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression, St. Vincent's Hospital Sydney).
PhD Research Topic: Developing a culturally adapted internet-delivered mindfulness intervention for university students in Indonesia.
Ratih is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field, and she believes in the importance of giving back to the community. She's actively involved in educating community related to mental health issues, by giving talks, presentations, writing articles, and volunteering in some organizations.
