Mrs Ratih Arruum Listiyandini

Dr Ratih Arruum is a clinical psychologist, an academic, a researcher, and an educator. She obtained her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the UNSW Sydney Australia, and received her Bachelor and Master from the University of Indonesia. She's now working as an Assistant Professor at YARSI University Indonesia and Casual Academic at UNSW Sydney.
Ratih keens to leverage digital innovations and global health approaches to promote mental well-being, reduce the burden of mental illness, and improve access to high-quality mental health care, especially in Low-and-Middle income countries (LMICs) on Southeast Asia. Her vision is to be a future prominent expert in the field of global digital mental health. Following her passion, she's also establishing HaiMama!, a digital health education platform that offers maternal health education and support for mothers in Indonesia.
Her commitment to advancing mental health extends beyond academia, as she actively engages in conveying ideas related to the promotion, prevention, and treatment of mental health problems. Ratih contributes to diverse platforms such as discussion forums, news media, peer-reviewed journal articles, book chapters, and community programs both in Australia and internationally, including Indonesia.

Research interests:
- Investigating psychological resilience across the lifespan (i.e., adolescence to late adulthood), especially among vulnerable population, and its association with mindfulness, mental health, and other positive psychology constructs, such as gratitude, self-compassion, emotional intelligence, and well-being.
- Understanding the transdiagnostic process underlying mental health problems and how digital technology shapes the mental health of individuals.
- Developing scalable evidence-based digital mental health treatments for culturally diverse population, especially for those living in low-resources settings and Low-and-Middle Income countries (LMICs).
Currently, Ratih is a Principal Investigator & KONEKSI International Research Fellow, who leads international collaborative research projects consists of YARSI University, UNSW Sydney, St. Vincent's Hospital Sydney, Universitas Indonesia, and Asosiasi Kesehatan Remaja Indonesia. The project will be run for two years and is funded by KONEKSI Australia-Indonesia Collaborative Research Grants under the Australian Government - Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Her project is to develop a culturally relevant web-based mental health intervention and improve access to high-quality care. Through this fellowship, she is committed to fostering international collaboration and driving forward the field of global mental health.
Ratih is committed to staying up-to-date on the latest research and developments in the field, and she believes in the importance of giving back to the community. She's actively involved in educating community related to mental health issues, by giving talks, presentations, writing articles, and volunteering in some organizations.
