I am an Associate Professor in the School of Banking and Finance at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. Before joining UNSW, I was an assistant professor of finance at the Hong Kong University of Science of Technology. My research is primarily in corporate finance, with a focus on corporate governance and compensation of executives and employees. I have taught courses in undergraduate programs, MBA, other Masters programs, and doctoral programs. I received my Ph.D. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. I have published in the Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. I have also won several competitive research grants and received the best paper awards at various conferences.
