Santosh Shrestha is an Associate Professor at the School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering. Santosh's research aims to significantly increase the efficiency of solar cells towards the fundamental photovoltaic energy conversion efficiency limit. Before joining UNSW, Santosh was a research fellow at Wollongong University. He holds a PhD from UNSW. His current research interests include:
•    Advanced photovoltaic concepts such as Hot Carrier solar cells
•    Novel solar cell materials
•    Nanostructured materials
•    Thin film growth and characterisation
•    Ion beam analysis

Current PhD opportunities:
•    ALD growth of nitrides
•    Growth and charaterisation of hot carrier solar cells materials
