My passion is in two areas:
1. applied research (sustainable manufacturing practices) while my expertise area is in materials development, process improvement, process development and implementation. My current research interests are in process optimisation and improvement in industry-linked projects. These projects include advanced material development with a focus on nanoparticles and surface treatment, characterisation at laboratory, pilot scale level through to industrial scale-up.
2. engineering education with a focus on authentic learning practices including Project-Based Learning, Team-Based Learning, Work-Integrated Learning and Generative Artificial Intelligence.
