Simon Lloyd

‘Water sensitive innovations aimed at reducing pathogenic contamination of recreational water environments’ is the title of Simon Lloyd’s thesis.

His research, under the supervision of Dr Paul Osmond and Professor Stuart Khan, focuses on the cross-contamination that occurs between stormwater and wastewater infrastructure. The work is essential for the prevention of water-borne diseases entering rivers and beaches.

Lloyd is evaluating two categories of sustainable urban water management, namely water storage and recycling schemes, as well as natural water treatment technologies.
