Dr Tony Zhang
PhD MSc PGDipSci BSc
Dr. Tony Zhang is a research fellow and statistical consultant at Stats Central, Mark Wainwright Analytical Centre, UNSW Sydney. He also serves as the primary statistical consultant at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney.
Dr. Zhang completed his MSc in Medical Statistics at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a PhD in Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the Otago Medical School, New Zealand. His doctoral research investigated the longitudinal development of lung function and early life origins of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Dr. Zhang has extensive experience in statistical consulting, study design, statistical methodology/modelling, advanced epidemiology, and real-world evidence. In addition, Dr. Zhang has a strong research interest in respiratory medicine and is actively involved in projects relating to asthma, COPD, lung function development, cystic fibrosis, and lung transplantation. He is a member of the UNSW Chronic Respiratory Disease Research Group, Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ), and European Respiratory Society (ERS).
Dr. Zhang is a Council Member of Statistical Society of Australia (NSW). He is also a Member of Royal Society of New Zealand (MRSNZ).
