Overview
This 24-month MBA (Extension) offers an added injection of practical experience to your Full-Time MBA program.
After completion of the courses within the standard 12-month MBA (Full-Time) Program, you will undertake three Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and/or Extension Research Project (ERP) courses over three terms (12 months). For each of these WIL and ERP courses, students will complete an internship or similar, and/or develop an industry research project. The total program duration is 106 weeks.
To apply for the MBA (Extension) students must first complete the core units of the Full-Time MBA. Please note that direct applications to this program are not accepted.

Program structure
Please refer to the AGSM Full-Time MBA course structure page for details of the MBA program structure. The MBA (Extension) adds three extra terms (12 months) during which students will undertake internships and/or research projects.
Full program structure
You will undertake three Work Integrated Learning (WIL) and/or Extension Research Project (ERP) courses over three terms (12 months) after completing the standard 12-month MBA (Full-Time) Program.
Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
The Work Integrated Learning course offers you the opportunity to undertake an internship as part of your studies. You will be able to integrate your learnings from multiple courses from your MBA. This course will also provide international students with the opportunity to experience the Australian workplace, and to gain insight into cross-cultural differences within the business environment.
AGSM will support you in the procurement of internship opportunities, providing guidance and assistance where required. You will be required to submit assessment items for this course.
Extension Research Project (ERP)
Undertaking an Extension Research Project gives you the opportunity to devote part of your studies to the pursuit of a topic relevant to your career aspiration. This one-to-one working arrangement allows you to research under the supervision of an AGSM faculty member. You will carry out an in-depth analysis of your chosen topic, giving you a significant head start in your post-MBA career.
