Our main campus in Kensington is a busy and thriving university community with iconic buildings and accessible, sustainable and interactive spaces and grounds for students, staff and community visitors to connect and learn. Everyone is welcome to explore our significant buildings, public spaces and green spaces. Visit the John Niland Scientia Building, Roundhouse and Clancy Auditorium, which host events and community activities, or explore the UNSW Library Building, home to extensive collections, the University Archives, events and exhibitions. Campus developments
Education Building - G25
Located on the eastern side of UNSW’s Kensington campus, the new 11 storey Education Building will deliver a modern vertical campus with more than 20,000 square metres of purpose-built teaching, learning and student-led spaces. The development will significantly increase UNSW’s teaching capacity while enhancing the quality, flexibility and inclusivity of learning environments for current and future students. The facility will support UNSW’s move to the new academic semester calendar in 2028.
Biolink Redevelopment - E25
The E25 BioLink Redevelopment is a major renewal project that will transform an ageing and underused building on UNSW Sydney’s Kensington upper campus into a modern, sustainable and future-focused hub for teaching, learning and research.
UNSW Student Accommodation and Parking Station Upgrade
UNSW is preparing two State Significant Development Applications (SSDAs) on Barker Street at our Kensington campus: a Student Accommodation Redevelopment and a Parking Station Upgrade. These projects aim to deliver contemporary and culturally safe living options for students and improve parking access and safety for staff, visitors, and the surrounding community.

Future Campus
The Future Campus project aims to understand how UNSW’s space needs have changed and how they will continue to change in the future. The program is considering what we want from our campuses in the coming years, from world-class learning and teaching spaces and research infrastructure to modern offices and outdoor campus areas.
