Future You invites children aged 8 to 12 to take part in our Find the STEM in Your Hobby Competition, as seen in the first edition of Careers with STEM: Primary.
Whether it’s gaming, sport, art, building, or baking, this is a chance for students to explore the science, technology, engineering and maths behind what they love, and share it with us.
STEM knowledge truly is the ultimate life-hack. Helping children to see how STEM learning is useful beyond the classroom is a key way that we can boost engagement with, and interest in, STEM learning at an early age, before it's too late.
In need of inspiration? Head to pages 18 and 19 of Careers with STEM: Primary, where you'll hear about some of our Pathfinders about their favourite hobbies.
Each term, one winner will receive a Future You prize pack, have their entry featured in our newsletter (anonymously), and earn serious bragging rights.
The competition is open NOW, and a winner will be selected each term during the 2026 and 2027 school years, so you can enter at the time that's best for you.
