Ready-to-go teacher packs

We’ve collated our STEM role models, aka, the Pathfinders, into teacher packs to make it easier for you to deliver engaging lessons to your students.

Personalise

Whether you’re teaching in the classroom, running a club, or supporting STEM learning at home, Future You offers free, high-quality resources to help you build the next generation of problem-solvers, innovators, and creators.

Our goal is simple: to challenge stereotypes, spark curiosity, and inspire the next generation to explore science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) in ways that feel real, relevant, and exciting.

To do that, we’ve made ready-to-go teacher packs that save time and energy by enhancing existing lesson plans with engaging, curriculum-aligned activities that bring STEM to life. You can use these to show students the real-world relevance of subjects like Maths, Literacy, Science, and Technologies, creating inclusive, exciting learning experiences where every child feels they belong

Each Future You Pathfinder comes with the full suite of resources that brings real world relevance and inspiration into the classroom.

Deliver content that aligns with student interests, connect learning to the world around them, and spark ideas for what their future could look like.

What are the Pathfinders?

They’re real stories from people using STEM to solve problems and make the world better. Each Pathfinder includes videos, comprehension activities, discussion starters, a classroom poster, and informative career sheets to help students explore pathways in their own words.

In every teacher pack

Each pack includes practical, curriculum-aligned ideas that make learning socially relevant and engaging:

  • Capability convos: This activity can be adapted to use in your own classroom, and can be a quick 10 minute activity by selecting just some of the questions, or stretched for longer by adding some of your own. You know your students best, so adapt where needed.

  • Comprehension questions:This activity is linked to the videos/profiles on each Pathfinder page, using the real-life role model as the stimulus for this Literacy curriculum aligned activity.

  • Career Information Sheet (for Adults): Find practical advice for teachers and families who are looking for age-appropriate ways to support students exploring career pathways.

  • Career Information Sheet (for Students): These can be given to children who have expressed a specific interest in this area, or used as a classroom stimulus for a range of teacher led activities.

  • Career Pathway Infographic: A visual guide that can be used to break down the myth that STEM requires a university degree. These infographics offer clear, accessible insights for adults into the many routes into STEM, and help young people see what's possible.

  • Classroom poster: Highlight the skills and values behind each career with a printable display for your wall whilst showing the real-life people in these roles who might share similarities with your students.

  • Student Skills Brain Break: A mindfulness-style activity that encourages reflection on personal skills and strengths.

  • Word search and answers: A fun literacy warm-up featuring key vocabulary linked to each career.
