Election day
  • The University welcomes nominations from our students to serve on the UNSW Academic Board. Find out more about UNSW, gain valuable governance experience and contribute to the academic activities of the University by nominating yourself as one of the elected student members on the Academic Board.

    Notice for students to self-nominate for the Academic Board Student Elections 2023

    Students are invited to participate in the 2023 Academic Board elections as candidates and voters. Self-nominations will open on Wednesday 11 October 2023 at 9am with positions available for 3 students:

    • 1 Undergraduate
    • 1 Postgraduate Coursework 
    • 1 Higher Degree Research

    Self-nominations close on Wednesday 18 October 2023 at 4pm.

    The term of office is 2 years, from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2025.

    If you are enrolled as a student in one of the categories listed above, you will receive an email from the University’s online election provider, BigPulse, on Wednesday 11 October 2023 inviting you to self-nominate. If you do not receive an email, please email the elections office – elections@unsw.edu.au.

    If an election is required, it will be held from 9am on Wednesday 8 November 2023 and will close at 4pm on Wednesday 15 November 2023 and will be conducted by BigPulse.

    Notice for students to self-nominate for the UNSW Faculty Boards 2023

    Students are invited to participate in the 2023 Faculty Board Student Elections as candidates and voters. Self-nominations will open on Wednesday 11 October 2023 at 9am with positions available for 3 students: 1 Undergraduate, 1 Postgraduate Coursework and 1 Higher Degree Research (HDR), in the following faculties:

    • Arts, Design and Architecture
    • Business School
    • Engineering
    • Law & Justice
    • Medicine & Health
    • Science 
    • UNSW Canberra

    Self-nominations close on Wednesday 18 October 2023 at 4pm. 

    The term of office is 12 months, from 1 January 2024 to 31 December 2024.

    If you are enrolled as an undergraduate, postgraduate coursework or HDR student in one of the faculties listed above, you will receive an email from the University’s online election provider, BigPulse, on Wednesday 11 October 2023 inviting you to self-nominate. If you do not receive an email, please email the elections office – elections@unsw.edu.au.

    If an election is required, it will be held from 9am Wednesday 8 November 2023 and close at 4pm on Wednesday 15 November 2023 and will be conducted by BigPulse.

  • Voting for the election of Professorial and Non-professorial staff as members of the Academic Board closed at 4pm on Wednesday 19 April 2023. The Returning Officer has declared elected the staff listed in the Results of Academic Board, Academic Staff elections 2023 for the term of office from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2025.

  • Voting for the election of academic staff as members of Faculty Boards closed at 4pm on Wednesday 19 April 2023. The Returning Officer has declared elected the staff listed in the Results of Faculty Boards, Academic Staff elections 2023 for the term of office from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2025.

  • Voting for the election of undergraduate student member to the UNSW Council closed at 4pm on Monday 14 November 2022 and the Returning Officer declared elected to UNSW Council for the term of office from 15 November 2022 to 30 June 2024:
