The event was a collaboration between UNSW Medicine & Health and UNSW Science, and was a live panel discussion exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming health.

The expert panel included Associate Professor Fatemeh Vafaee, Deputy Director of the UNSW Data Science Hub (uDASH); Professor Louisa Jorm, Foundation Director of the Centre for Big Data Research in Health; and Dr Aengus Tran, Co-Founder and CEO of harrison.ai. Tegan Taylor, award-winning health and science reporter at the ABC, facilitated the discussion.

Discussion topics ranged from the diverse applications of AI in healthcare, to the challenges that the industry faces around data privacy and security. There were also several challenging questions from the audience of clinicians, researchers, industry and interested community members.
