Maria has extensive experience in environmental economics, environmental systems analysis, natural capital accounting, environmental valuation and marine resources management. She is passionate about the ecosystem services topic and investigating ways to take the environment into account when making decisions.
With the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) Secretariat, Maria is supporting the development of ocean accounts in Belize. She is also co-lead of the Social Accounts Working Group.
