“The financial aid I receive through the International Scientia Scholarship has been instrumental in allowing me to fully dedicate myself to my studies and pursue my passion,” says Aditi. “Knowing that I’m able to pursue my education without placing additional pressure on my family allows me to focus entirely on my academic and personal growth.
Thanks to the financial support of the scholarship, Aditi can dedicate herself fully to her studies and participate in transformative research projects and internships that align with her environmental goals. Being part of a diverse community at UNSW has also allowed her to collaborate with professionals and peers who share her commitment to sustainability.
“UNSW has provided me with an incredible opportunity to find a community that shares my deep passion for conservation. This sense of belonging has been vital in helping me pursue my goals, as I’m constantly surrounded by like-minded peers and professors who encourage me to grow and think bigger.
“Additionally, this support has given me the flexibility to take part in research projects, internships, and extracurricular activities that align with my career goals, which might not have been possible without the scholarship. This financial stability has been crucial in helping me maximise my experience at UNSW and work towards making a meaningful impact in the world.”
When it comes to her tips for securing a full fee scholarship, Aditi says: “Do your own research and start early.” She encourages anyone wanting to apply for a scholarship to start researching different scholarship options and preparing documents as early as possible.
“The scholarship opened up many doors for me to explore diverse cultures, interact with peers from various backgrounds, and get myself out of that comfort zone,” says Evellyn. “In my first year, I was anxious about fitting in and keeping up with coursework. Now, I’ve found my purpose and confidence through the UNSW community.”
Evellyn found the application process easy to follow and she received support from UNSW Scholarship all along the way. “I sought guidance from staff to navigate through the scholarship portal, and the process of filling out questionnaires and uploading documents was rather intuitive.”
Evellyn’s advice to future students applying for a scholarship? “Be yourself in answering questions, be proud of your own feats, and most importantly, be on time in submitting your application!”
