About the team
Our team designs, builds, and maintains a secure, scalable, and modern data platform that serves as the foundation for all analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision making across UNSW. This platform integrates data from multiple enterprise systems, ensuring a single source of truth for the University’s key operational and strategic data.
Our work ensures that data is trusted through strong quality controls, and made accessible via user friendly tools and services. These include well governed PBI dashboards, with clear ownership and security protocols, delivered efficiently to meet the evolving needs of faculties, business units, and leadership.
By providing a robust and future-ready data infrastructure, we enable the University to gain deeper insights, make informed decisions faster, and explore emerging opportunities in areas such as self-service BI, advanced analytics, and AI.
Services we provide
- Build and maintain dashboards to support data-driven decision making.
- Deliver custom reports based on user needs submitted through the Data Request Form.
- Manage data access by processing and approving access requests to ensure secure and appropriate data usage.
- Provide advice and consultation on data definitions, metrics, and business rules.
- Develop and maintain underlying data models and datasets used in analytics.
- Support data ingestion across systems to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design fit-for-purpose reporting solutions.
- Perform quality assurance on data used in reporting and analytics outputs.
- Drive continuous improvement in data governance and self-service capability.
