The Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct (RHIP) leverages its scale, diversity and expertise to drive positive health outcomes. It’s a strategic partnership between UNSW Sydney, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network and Health Infrastructure.
Realising a 65-year vision
The RHIP fulfils a 65-year vision for UNSW to integrate more closely with the Randwick Hospital Campus.
Spanning Botany Street, RHIP is the largest collocated health precinct in NSW. It brings together government, UNSW, 4 major hospitals (Prince of Wales, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Royal Hospital for Women, Prince of Wales Private), preclinical facilities and 9 institutes spanning neuroscience, mental health, cancer and other fields.
UNSW has 2 new facilities at Randwick, the UNSW Integrated Acute Services Building and the UNSW Health Translation Hub.
UNSW Integrated Acute Services Building
UNSW's Integrated Acute Services Building (IASB) offers world-class research, education and clinical spaces, fostering collaboration for better healthcare outcomes.
UNSW Health Translation Hub
UNSW Health Translation Hub unites researchers, clinicians, educators, and partners to drive excellence in health education, research, and innovation.

St. Vincent’s Health Precinct
St Vincent's Health Precinct is an emerging precinct anchored around the clinical and research excellence of St Vincent’s Public Hospital, Garvin Institute of Medical Research and the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.
UNSW Medicine & Health has a clinical school at St Vincent’s Hospital. Research expertise at the precinct includes cardiovascular and metabolic medicine, inflammation, immunity and inflammation, genetics and genomics, virtual care and allied health.
Kogarah Health and Knowledge Precinct
St George Public Hospital, a major tertiary and teaching hospital, is the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District’s leading hospital. It specialises in medical trauma services and contains the Medical Retrieval Service Coordination Centre for NSW. The NSW Government committed $277 million between 2014–2019 to support the hospital’s expansion.
UNSW Medicine & Health’s St George & Sutherland Clinical Campuses, provide clinical studies for students at St George Hospital.
