Bruker D8 Discover XRD

Powerful rotating copper anode X-ray source
Personalise
MWAC X-ray diffraction lab instrument

Description

The D8 Discover is a flexible thin-film instrument with a powerful rotating copper anode X-ray source producing higher X-ray flux at your sample than is possible with the sealed X-ray sources on the other instruments.

Specifications

  • 5-6 kW Cu rotating anode.
  • Centric Eulerian cradle that integrates Chi and Phi rotations, and X-Y-Z translations.
  • The instrument can be set up with a LYNXEYE silicon strip detector for fast detection and energy filtering of unwanted fluorescence from the sample.
  • Large area detector (VÅNTEC-500 with 13.5 cm diameter) for 2D XRD experiments including RSM and diffraction mapping.
  • Anton Paar DCS 350 Wide Range Chamber enabling measurements under vacuum between -100°C up to +350°C .

Applications

  • Material structure determination & identification
  • In-situ and in-operando phase analysis with variable temperature
  • Texture, stress, micro-diffraction, GIXRD, GISAXS, capillary, reciprocal space mapping (RSM).
  • Microdiffraction mapping.
