The UNSW Canberra Career Transition Mentoring Program aims to support current and former members of Defence, whether UNSW alumni or not, making the transition from the military to the civilian workforce by connecting them with established alumni and industry professionals. Mentoring offered through this program is intended to provide mentees with access to mentors who have successfully transitioned into the civilian workforce and can share their personal, career and transition experience.
This program takes a community-focused approach to mentoring and knowledge sharing is hosted on Australian edu-tech platform, Kintell. Mentors and mentees are invited to join the Career Transition Mentoring group on the Kintell platform and create their card. After creating your card, you’ll be able to book fellow group members in for a chat based on their area of expertise.
Kintell is an Australian edu-tech company that focuses on one-to-one video advice from vetted professionals by integrating search, scheduling, video conferencing, payment, and rating and reviewing in one platform. You can find out more here.

The UNSW Career Discovery Mentoring Program provides you with the opportunity to discover potential careers through a mentoring relationship that facilitates greater self-awareness of skills, knowledge, experiences and attributes.
You will receive guidance from mentors and gain knowledge of industries and sectors, career options, industry trends, workplace culture and dynamics. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your experience, while building personal and professional networks with mentors and fellow mentees.
