Program Code: 1643

Objectives:

Remote sensing image data generated by various sensors, especially, hyperspectral sensors, have limited spatial resolution. Subpixel signal retrieval is challenging. One of the issues is the collinearity when a least squared solution is involved. The problem damages the subsignal inversion robustness. This project will investigate the problem and develop effective solutions.

The outcome is significant practically and scientifically.

Description of Work:

  • Examine the collinearity problem quantitatively
  • Evaluation of current studies
  • Develop the techniques to overcome the problem
  • Implement and validation
