Bruker D8 Quest Diamond Single Crystal XRD (Mo source)

Mo source single-crystal XRD with the latest Photon IV detector for quick crystal structure analysis

D8 Bruker Quest Diamond XRD

Description

The installation of our new D8 QUEST marks a new era for our research centre.

The hybrid diamond technology in our new X-ray source delivers intensity comparable to rotating-anode-level intensity but with virtually no maintenance. The large-area PHOTON IV detector perfectly matches the high-intensity X-ray source. Even for our typically thin micro-crystals, we obtain high-quality datasets in just 15–20 minutes.

Specifications

  • 4-circle goniometer
  • Shutterless Photon IV detector
  • IµS DIAMOND II microfocus Mo Kα source
  • Oxford Cryostream 1000 series low-temperature device (80- 400 K)

Applications

  • Small-molecule crystallography (especially organometallic and coordination complexes and high-absorbing crystals)
  • Structural analysis of weakly diffracting samples
  • Detection of twinning and disorder
  • Variable-temperature crystallography
