Disability and the Carceral State: An Examination of the Criminalisation of People with Cognitive Impairment

Supervisors

Summary

In the current era, persons with cognitive impairment are disproportionately subject to processes of criminalisation. By advancing empirical and theoretical knowledge about this phenomenon, this study will offer new understandings of the intersecting and compounding forms of oppression that render members of this group more susceptible to being criminalised.
