
Scientia PhD Candidate
Hui (Helen) Pang is a Scientia PhD Scholar working on the rights and obligations of states and investors in renewable energy foreign investments. She graduated with honours from Fudan University with a Master of Law degree. Before starting her PhD, she was an International Fox Fellow in residence at Yale University researching sustainable development in international investment law. Outside academia, she has experience in both the public and private sectors concerning international business and investment, having interned at the Shanghai offices of the Clifford Chance LLP and the Baker & McKenzie LLP regarding capital markets and corporations, and Shanghai office of ChinaSF, an economic initiative of the City of San Francisco aimed at promoting Sino-US investments. She also shares an interest in women's rights and international human rights law. She was the representative of China at the 2014 World Congress of Global Partnership for Young Women and spoke on the issue of domestic violence.
