Our research

The Jalili Group combines plasma chemistry, catalysis, electrochemistry, advanced materials and additive manufacturing to rethink how essential chemicals and energy carriers are produced. Our research has a strong focus on green ammonia and sustainable fertilisers, alongside technologies that can support the transport of hydrogen.

We work across the full pathway from fundamental materials and catalyst design to reactor development, electrochemical device fabrication and pilot-scale demonstration. By considering scalability and techno-economic performance from an early stage, we aim to translate laboratory discoveries into practical technologies that support the transition to net-zero industry and agriculture.
