UNSW Fee Statement

You will receive a fee statement for each term, semester or hexamester you are enrolled in.

Your fee statement (also called a Statement of Student Debt or a Confirmation of Enrolment) details your tuition fees and student services and amenities fees (SSAF) for each teaching period you are enrolled in at UNSW.

If you are an international student, you can use your fee statement to confirm your enrolment and fees at UNSW.

Frequently asked questions:

  • Your initial fee statement will be produced approximately two weeks before the start of your term, semester or hexamester. It will list your enrolment and fee due dates.

Subsequent changes to your enrolment, payments or tuition will be reflected within 24 hours. Check your most recent statement for up-to-date information (refer to the date on the statement).

  • A fee statement is provided for each career you are enrolled in.

For example, if you are enrolled in both an award program (an undergraduate, postgraduate or research program) and a non-award program, you will see statements for both.

If you are enrolled in more than one program in a single career (for example, two undergraduate programs), then only your primary program will be listed in your fee statement. However, all courses you are enrolled in under that career will be listed.

  • If you complete one of the following actions prior to the census date for your teaching period:

    • Withdraw from all courses
    • Take approved program leave
    • Formally discontinue your program

You will not retain a liability. Charges are only held against active enrolment.

If you require confirmation that fees have not been charged for a particular teaching period, please email fees@unsw.edu.au

  • If you cannot access your fee statement online (for example, if you have a disability that prevents you from doing so), please contact the UNSW Student Financials Team to discuss your requirements.

If you need an official UNSW stamp on your fee statement, take a printed copy of your statement to The Nucleus: Student Hub

  • Your fee liability (the amount you owe) to UNSW is always your responsibility, even if a third party will be paying your tuition fees and student contributions. Payment must be received by the published due dates for each term.

Your fee statement on myUNSW is your official UNSW fee statement. It holds all the details and information your employer requires to make payments towards your fees and to claim any taxation benefits.

To enable your employer to make payments on your behalf or reimburse you, you will need to print the following:

    • The first page of your fee statement. It displays the UNSW logo, customer reference number, charges, and the course and enrolment details of your program.
    • The Statement Information Page. To find this, click 'Payment Options' on the Fee Statement page on myUNSW. Here you will find the ABNs required for payment and taxation purposes.

If you are under official sponsorship arrangements, your sponsor will be invoiced directly by the UNSW Finance Department.
