Find your people beyond the classroom through our 45+ peer mentoring programs

At UNSW, our peer mentoring programs connect you with experienced students who can offer guidance, advice and a friendly face as you navigate uni life. Joining a peer mentoring program offers a unique opportunity to expand your network and develop key skills that foster both personal and professional growth.

Get formally recognised for your participation!

Some peer mentoring programs may be recognised through the Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS), allowing your role as a mentor to be officially recorded on your graduation statement. This recognition highlights your contribution to UNSW and can help you stand out in future job or postgraduate applications. Check with your program coordinator if your program is accredited for AHEGS or explore co-curricular opportunities below.

What's the difference between mentors and mentees?

As a mentee, you'll receive guidance from a senior student (mentor) to help you navigate university life with confidence. As a mentor, your support will empower new students to thrive academically and socially, while you build valuable skills. These include leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that will enhance your employability and set you apart in the future.
