-
Every group is different! It might be a coffee catch-up, a study chat, a campus tour or just talking through questions you have that week. Some groups have even been known to take a ferry to Manly at sunset!
-
Nope! Mentoring is designed to fit around you and your schedule. Feel free to contact the mentor and your mentee group as much or as little as you need. You can always opt out by contacting your mentor or email us at start@unsw.edu.au.
-
That’s totally okay. We know everyone has different personalities, interests and schedules. Just email us at start@unsw.edu.au and we’ll help move you into a different group.
-
Joining a mentor group is easy! Browse the available mentors in your faculty on this webpage, then follow the link to register your interest and share your availability. Not sure who to choose? -
Absolutely! Even if you join a little later, your mentor will introduce you to the group and you’ll fit right in. It’ll be like you were there from the start.
-
They’re current UNSW students who’ve all come through Gateway or are from a low-SES background. They’ve been through the first-year juggle themselves and are here to share tips, answer your questions and help you feel right at home at UNSW (and in Sydney).
