Michael Terceiro

PhD Candidate

Michael commenced his PhD Candidature in 2019. His PhD is entitled "Are Australian criminal cartel laws fit for purpose? A comparative analysis of Australian and US criminal cartel approaches". Michael is a part time student. He currently runs his own legal practice, Terceiro Legal Consulting, which specialises in competition and consumer law. He is also the General Editor of the Australian Business Law Review and Deputy Chair of the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia Disciplinary Tribunal.

Previously Michael worked at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission for 15 years in a variety of roles including Director of Enforcement, the National GST Enforcement Coordinator, Director in charge of the Sydney Mergers and Assets Sales Branch and Director in charge of the Waterfront Investigation.
